Uma Uma Ramen Restaurant Review

Uma Uma Ramen is opened by the same group which opened Iggy's (world's top 50) so naturally you expect good ramen! 

There was a special item on the menu, the ramen with white alba truffle and egg yolk with char siew which we ordered. It was $38 with ramen. It was really good! The truffle was great, the char siew was average, not as succulent as I would like, and the poached egg was good. 

However, I can't say the same for the rest of the ramen dishes

Char siew rice was bland and tough, char siew was not succulent, overly cooked in some areas and actually quite cold

The Uma Uma ramen was disappointing! The char siew was a struggle for me to finish, the broth was bland and tasteless and the noodles were plainer than the girl next door, at least the soy egg was semi-decent. It is supposed to be Fukuoka Hakata style ramen with QQ noodles and rich tonkotsu broth, and uh, it absolutely did not live up to its definition.
