Saveur Art @ Ion Orchard Restaurant Review

Saveur Art is a more upscale version of the previous saveur opened. I first went to saveur 2 years ago when they just opened a restaurant from a hawker center, and they have indeed come very far. #startedfromthebottomyo

Staying true to the fine-dining theme, they gave us two amuse bouches, the mackerel with crackers and soup with chives and fried sweet corn

Ordered the 62 degrees poached truffle egg as part of the 4-course dinner set menu

Decent

Chestnut velouté in the name of Christmas :) came with their homemade brioche bun

Okay only, liked that they included actual slices of chestnut

Saveur's famous langoustine pasta

Good! Pasta was very well cooked and seasoned, sauces were a perfect blend and langoustine was great

Cod with squid

Also good!

Pigeon, cooked with a nice sear and soft meat

Good too

Lobster, at $49 this was one of the pricier items on the menu. Lobster and lobster claws were good, lobster ravioli may be a little too thick

Dessert as part of the 4-course dinner was pistachio and chocolate

Pistachio ice-cream was alright

Overall, I feel like besides the amuse Bouche and attentive service, a lot of the dishes had similar styles to the other branches of saveur. Go for lunch, quite decently priced for the set menu.
