Le Perigord

Le Perigord came highly recommended by a friend who is a regular. I quite liked the ambience when I walked in, a traditional French institution with waiters in white coats, and a trolley full of desserts.

We ordered the lunch set and the a-la-carte. The escargot was particularly good and well-prepared, so is the vegetable tart. The veal kidneys were good too. We ordered the frog's legs as we heard that it was the special. However, the dish was a little off and lacked the fresh bouncy texture of traditional frogs' legs. The dessert cart was a large selection, however, the lemon meringue pie was average.

Service was a little slow. They also had an interesting practice of service charge and having an additional captain fee on top of that.
