Kanoyama NYC Restaurant Review

Met up with my friend who is training in NYC and his friends highly recommended the $35 omakase so that is what we got! 

Surprisingly quite shocked at the standard we got for the dinner price, it was good! And so was the unagi and toro. This is an east village gem! 

Can't say the same for the service staff though. They rushed us when they were closing (I have late dinners in NYC because of work), and gave us the bill before we were even done eating. They also circled the tips and drew a huge arrow for us to write the tip amount. When we were finally eating dessert, we were the last ones in the restaurant, the server made me feel really uncomfortable by clapping his hands and directly looking at our table. God so uncomfortable! 

Green tea ice-cream was good though, I think the service is pretty hit-and-miss. Some of them were really friendly!!
