Naked Finn Restaurant Review

The Naked Finn is located in the artsy Gilman Barracks next to the super cool Interlace condominium. I was truly surprised by the high-quality seafood they had, one complaint is that the restaurant was way too cold. I was wearing my cashmere jacket and still shivering while having my meal, the food more than compensated for the arctic climate though!

Below is the fish and chips

They use line-caught ling cod [$26] in a vodka-honey batter, which was really fresh and refreshing. And it was probably one of the best fish and chips I ever had. Even better than the many fish and chip shops I had in England. The batter was very light and had a crisp bite to the cod. The straight-cut fries were amazing too!

This is probably my favorite dish at Naked Finn. It's called the Hae Mee Tng [$25]

The chef experimented with 9 species of prawns for the stock to produce the most intense and complex version using wild-caught spot prawn from Alaska.

They begin by frying the giant red shrimp with Northern prawn with dried sakura shrimp in olive oil, to form the base of the prawn stock. The prawns are then blended and left to simmer with the pork stock for 7 hours!

They also provide various condiments alongside this dish such as iberico pork lard or vietnamese chilli.

And you get to choose whether you want the noodles as japanese somen or vermicelli.

This is a MUST-TRY!

The Lobster Roll, Mayo [$35] was really sublime with 90g of lobster meat, unsalted butter, strait cut fries. You can choose between the lobster roll with mayo or creme fraiche which is slightly lighter, but the server highly recommended this lobster mayo. So go with it - unless you're on a diet I guess.

Happy me

Dessert was the Ice-cream with Alcohol

Or the Red Ruby which is jackfruit and atapchee with coconut sorbet

Or the chendol

Overall, a highly enjoyable experience and will be back for more fresh seafood!
