Seoul Activities

Interesting things to do in Seoul:

Glass-Blowing!

Glass Blowing is the ancient art of moulding glass art based on high temperatures and blowing through the mouthpiece and twisting the glass to make your perfect sculpture. It's really big in Venice where people go to visit the Murano glass factory. But you get a chance to do it if you're in Seoul too!

The glass-blowing shop is located at Samzigel, where they sell a lot of pretty traditional crafts. The glassblower will take your hand and teach you how to twist diamonds and stars and various different shapes. Then he'll ask you to practice blowing with all your might, you really need to exhale deeply in order to mould the shape of the glass.

As an interesting aside, they sell this next to the glass shop. It's called dongpang, which literally means faecal matter in English. It tastes like... walnut and red bean pancake.
literally means "faeces" in English

Also, on top of the glass-blowing workshop, there's this place where lovers can go to write their declarations of love for each other.

There is also a trickeye museum which is good for people who like to take many pictures. I really enjoyed it! Do take the time to visit it if you're free!

For girls, there is also the hello kitty cafe where they serve latte art with hello kitty on it. The food was mediocre though, and the prices were definitely inflated. But the kawaii factor was overpowering.

Meow.
