Izy Restaurant @ Club Street
Was looking for a modern Japanese restaurant and my friends recommended Izy at 27 Club Street (next to Spizza). The chef formerly trained at Tetsuya but was taking a more modern slant to the food.
We got the potato and chicken croquette with salt which was really tasty.
This dish is not on the menu!! I had to specially request for it. Goma tofu with ikura and uni, topped with freshly grated wasabi!! :) order it! It's really good :)
Sashimi platter. It was very interesting because they had soy jelly to pair with the fish, or you could be traditional and stick with the soy sauce and freshly-grated wasabi. Fish was really fresh!
Wagyu beef with 62 degrees poached egg and truffle on a bed of rice. The marinate was amazing!!
Melody and I
The bill came up to $210 with dessert sake, excluding dessert, which is slightly pricey! But for a modern slant to Japanese food, I do recommend it!
